Terms
The short version: Overterm is free, open source, and provided as it is.
Last updated 21 October 2026
The software is MIT licensed
Our applications are released under the MIT licence. You may use them, read them, change them and redistribute them, commercially or not, as long as the copyright notice and the licence text travel with them. The licence in each repository is the authoritative text; nothing on this page narrows it.
There is no warranty
As the licence says, the software is provided without warranty of any kind. It is developed in the open, in the open's usual way: it has bugs, it changes, and versions before 1.0 may change in ways that break what you were doing. Keep your own backups and read the changelog before you update.
We are not liable for loss or damage arising from using it, to the extent the law allows.
This site's content
The words and pictures on overterm.overcraft.dev are ours. Quote them, link to them and write about them freely. Do not present them as your own, and do not use the name or the marks in a way that suggests we endorse, made or support something we did not.
What the site promises
It is a set of static pages describing software. It is not a service, and we do not undertake to keep it, or any particular page of it, available. Documentation describes the software as it stands and will go out of date between releases; where a page and the code disagree, the code is right.
Contributing
Contributions are welcome and arrive as pull requests under the same licence as the project they are sent to. Each repository states what it expects of a contribution; read that first.
